Walnut Creek, Calif.-based Emerald Pet Products, maker of the Smart n’ Tasty and Twizzies brands, announced today that it has been acquired fully by Glenn W. Novotny, Sr. Glenn W. Novotny, Michael Levy and Mark Witriol founded emerald Pet Products in 2009. Novotny is now the sole owner of the company; as of Jan. 2, 2016, Levy and Witriol are no longer on the board of directors. Emerald Pet Products remains dedicated to serving Pet Specialty Retailers. The complete line of Emerald Pet treats and chews will continue to be manufactured in the USA with U.S. ingredients. All team members are remaining with the company in their existing roles. “We are committed to developing innovative healthy new treats, chews and products that meet our high quality standards for consumers and their pets,” said Glenn W.
